The University Library-Edinburg houses a collection of children’s books and young adult literature. This collection is shelved separately from the General Collection on 2nd Floor West. Selected lists of holdings can be located through these Subject searches in the Library Catalog: Children’s stories and Juvenile literature. Most works of juvenile fiction in Spanish are located in the PZ7 section.

Copies of some children's works can also be found in Special Collections.

While the UTRGV University Library no longer purchases materials for our Juvenile Collection, children’s books and young adult literature may be accepted as gifts.

Another nearby place to find children's books is the McAllen Public Library, which has an extensive collection of children's literature. Search their Children’s Catalog, or find a library branch.
